" I have always been able to admire the truck that hits me, provided it’s worthy. This is so much cleaner than being pecked to death by ducks, as described by Maya Angelou in a interview I saw once. Ducks being people who prattle on, taking small bits of your soul until you’re completely compromised. No thank you. Send me the clean kill. And so he did. " elsa elsa
i read this today and i totally know the feeling. its almost as if i wrote it. i remember the interview shes talking about and Maya also said that you will never get anywhere in life if you dont step out of your comfort zone. thats been my mantra for 10years DONT GET PECKED BY DUCKS AND STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. although sometimes iam weak and let myself get the hell pecked out of me.
have you ever noticed how a bird hunches down right before it takes off and flies?it looks around takes all of its surroundings in and then takes off. it seems as if the bird didnt put much thought into it and just took off but even a bird thats scared and takes off quickly surveys the situation before it does. i feel as if thats what im doing, hunching down and taking in my surroundings so i can fly....

Oh yes, it seems like so many of us are being asked to step outside of our comfort zones aren't we? I think though, that often we are flying off to such better places, but sometimes we just don't know that...so indeed, it is better to survey around you (don't get mired down in that) and then hunker...and make that leap! That's where the trust comes in, knowing that you'll land where you certainly need too...
(thank you for your sweet comment the other day, it's so nice to know you're just a phone call away)

I have seen too many workers injured and even killed working with unsafe construction equipment. It seems to be all about the bottom dollar to most manufacturers which is why you have to be very careful when purchasing new machinery.
