i got this in the mail from my hunny today. ive wanted to see it for the longest. it touched me way more than i thought it would and i have almost a notebook of notes for edie inspired art. incase you havent heard about it its about jackie o's aunt and her daughter and they lived in a mansion in the east hamptons and at one point it was so ran down and the house in such a disarray they tried to condemn it. even living like they did out of one room and going around clearly a little out of touch with reality you could still see and tell the class that was there. my favorite parts are when big edie is in bed naked (but coverd, kinda) and cooking corn on the cob in a hot plate by her bed .she fixes a piece for the boy who works on her yard and he seems to think nothing of the fact its coming from a naked old woman in bed. i love how they still believed they were beautiful and could do the things they used to do.kinda tragic but on the other hand sometimes ignorance is bliss. i also loved when the cat was going to the bathroom on the floor behind her portrait and she says"well at least someone is doing what they want to do" lol the amazing part was little edie wearing sweaters on her head as scarves and putting brooches on them. she would just stick her face thru the neck hole... so fabulous... if you are wondering where iam iam mostly on the couch sewing. im having some health issues which have caused me to take stock of my life and to try to figure it all out.im thinking i cant afford to keep typepad so will be starting a blog on a free one soon. i will let you know when i have a link. :) xoxoxoxo
